Very nice outdoor farm experience for people of all ages. There were home made scratch biscuits and home made cane syrup to try, Jersey cows to feed, and mature trails to explore. A nice free experience for families who enjoy history and/or the outdoors.

Loved this park. Long, shaded trails. Clean bathroom. Visited during the week but will be back on the weekend for the tour.

Annual Cane Boil Festival was delightful and educational. The reenactment of 1800's America was well done, including the growing, squeezing, and boiling sugar cane into syrup! Yum! Free event!!

Not sure how to rate it. There on Sunday, during the "open" hours.... Empty parking lot, not a soul in sight. Walked to the farm, saw the hours again, open...but! The big gate was closed. Wanted to hang with the sheep and chickens for a little while on a pretty Fall day. We had the place to ourselves, walked around a little. Watched the butterflies and bees. About it.

That’s a good escapade within Gainesville. The park has 3 trails- 0.8 miles, 2 miles and 3 miles. I recommend to anyone though who wants to hike them to do it in the fall-winter-spring or early in the morning in the summer.
